Vladimir Puskovitch is a freelance percussionist and music educator based out of the suburban Philadelphia area. A graduate from McKendree University (BME) and West Chester University (MM), he is now pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York.
Vladimir is a founding member of The Percussion Conservatory, a program that promotes all aspects of percussion education and strives to build a community of percussionists from around the world.
A member of the 2026 World Percussion Group, he travelled Europe performing high-level percussion chamber music and co-presented his clinic “The Illusion of Simplicity: Interpretive and Technical Demands of Glockenspiel and Xylophone in the Orchestra” at numerous universities: ESMAE (Porto, Portugal), CSMV (Vigo, Spain), Zagreb Academy of Music (Zagreb, Croatia), and Strasbourg Conservatory (Strasbourg, France).
Vladimir strives to commission and perform music that serves a purpose beyond entertainment, using his platform to expose social inequities and to add to lacking areas of the percussion canon.
On social media, Vladimir aims to give people a view into the reality behind pursuing a career in percussion, and to build a strong community between percussionists from around the world!
